KL

Thanks to perfect „sound travelling“ to our 41st floor apartment, night was cut short by the muezzin starting at 5am…

After strolling through the nearby streets, we ended up at the Petronas Twin Towers. Passing through one of KL’s 20 (!) shopping malls we spent an hour in the beautiful park featuring a playground and a pool for the kids.

Then we went up to the Petronas skybridge 170m over ground connecting the two towers, and up again to the 88th floor. Stunning views!

In the afternoon we stopped by Malaysia’s independence square (1957 they put up the Malayin flag over the Union Jack). Our first ever mosque visit was nearby! Beautiful building and surroundings. After Central Market it was only one more block to Chinatown, a Hindu Temple and back to a little open air festival with food trucks, and a ping pong table. Guess who enjoyed that!?!

Cultural and religious melting pot as it’s best! Very impressive.

Almost complete! World’s second largest building.
